There is a need for reform in the PP-DB coalition, but the process of taking of decisions in the formation improved. This was stated by the MEP from PP-DB Radan Kanev to bTV, quoted by news.bg.
In his words, at the moment there is a normal process for the coalition of slightly more difficult, slow and painful decision-making and negotiations. Whether this degree of consolidation in the PP-DB coalition is sufficient, it is clear that the democratic, reformist forces must radiate more strength, energy and leadership, but it is not possible to achieve all this in 3 months, Kanev pointed out.
According to him, the trust between PP-DB should be built over months and years - nothing happens quickly. After the early parliamentary elections, which will be held on October 27, the consolidation process in the coalition must continue and will lead to more unity, Radan Kanev believes.
He also believes that the election campaign will be directed forward to what lies ahead for Bulgaria. The first way to restore trust is to make a strong campaign in which the unity between the political leaders can be seen, stressed Radan Kanev.
He hopes that the PP-DB will become so united in the coalition that there will be no quotas on the coalition principle. The entire PP-DB coalition ideologically has its differences, and in the political direction there are issues that must be ironed out among themselves. The first steps should be internal consolidation, and subsequently, in the conversation with the PP, it should continue to more unified political talks, Radan Kanev urged.
According to him, the failure of PP-DB is not due to the assembly, but the impossibility of rotation in the Denkov-Gabriel government. GERB also far from achieved what they wanted, according to the MEP.
Radan Kanev still does not see a way out of the political crisis, but after the elections a management formula must be found. We can decide the right formula for governance together after the election results are seen, he added.
