„The battle in the BSP is whether it will be turned into a puppet that will serve others interests, not those of society and socialists”.

„The battle is whether the BSP will embrace that neoliberal left approach in Europe, which the first things it propagates are gender ideology, more sanctions against Russia, more migrants. This has happened over the years, I have fought with these policies. Will the BSP line be crossed to the liberal side or will we remain in defense of the national interest, the family, the children, the workers – that is the question.
Second, no less important is whether the BSP will again fall into the hands of oligarchs, backstage, dependents and the party will be used to accumulate wealth from a few at the expense of the people, the idealists, those who believe and vote for BSP. This is the essential question and these are my concerns and worries that this is the direction we are heading, Cornelia Ninova pointed out.
„I also saw at the National Council that the three, with whom until yesterday we did everything together, we signed, there were no problems and within a day they checked off – Vigenin, Gutsanov and Zafirov are just performers. Other people pull the strings there. They have an organizer – I saw it with my own eyes at the National Assembly, one Kiril Dobrev commanding – “get up-lie down”, of course, metaphorically, raise your hand, don't raise, He controls these processes. These three are just performing“, said the BSP leader in resignation.
“Behind it are many interests that I have encountered over the years. The interests to take the BSP, to obey a group of people, to serve this group of people at the expense of a cause, program, ideals at the expense of the members and sympathizers", emphasized Kornelia Ninova and showed an official reference:
„I asked all the ministries, after a journalistic investigation, about this group around Kiril Dobrev and about the companies connected to him, what contracts there are: At least for me, the information is shocking – contracts in the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Regional Development, the “Road Infrastructure” Agency, the structures of the Ministry of Finance, the NRA branches in the country, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the sports bases and more, and more, and more. All this is served by these same companies”, Ninova said and asked:
„There are so many other companies in the country, how come they win the same public contracts? Moreover, in all departments – it starts with Borisov, who feeds them – at that time Kiril Dobrev was in the BSP, continues – in Radev's office, Vesela Lecheva gives him fuel for the entire sport in Bulgaria. In our government, in which we participated – the ministers of the PP - of defense, of finance. And finally – the assembly, which gave the best orders for millions to Kiril Dobrev“, emphasized the leader of the BSP in resignation.
And he asked the question: “How do you think such a leadership will lead an independent policy? You know, for example, Cha Zafirov is also the head of the Rugby Federation. Who is on the Board of Directors of this federation, do you know? Cyril Dobrev. Not only political, but also economic interests. I have always maintained that one of my battles is against addictions, using the party to accumulate money.
“I give as an example to state my conviction – that the BSP should not become a party subordinate to private interests. As Rumen Ovcharov told them in the hall of the National Council: “You are currently selling the last remaining normal batch”. That's why I'm fighting," Cornelia Ninova is emphatic.
In response to questions in the studio, she stated: “Neither do I care about the ego. I don't care about the posts either. What am I sabotaging? I would say that they are the saboteurs, because the normal, statutory, legal is – resignation, congress, release, new president, work ahead. They got busy, they don't want to release me: “You will stand here as a hostage and write down what we tell you,”, they tell me. What should I sign you – to hand over the party to this, is this what you want me to sign for you?“, said Ninova, showing Kiril Dobrev's public procurement report.
„Borisov has publicly offered me the highest post – to the Speaker of the National Assembly, I refused. I refused this post with the words “I will not join forces with the mafia and I will not betray my voters”. Could I have been the leader of the Eurolist and now be an MEP with a salary of 100,000 euros to shake my legs for a few years. Everyone wanted me to be the leader of the leaves. Could I? Did I refuse?“, Cornelia Ninova also pointed out in response to questions in the Nova News studio.
Will he run for president? “They are doing everything they can to prevent this from happening – first the All-Party Control Commission said that I could not, now they decided to exclude me, just to prevent me from direct election. I understand that all my nominations from the new-old management have been crossed out. And forced the organizations not to send me nominations”, pointed out Ninova and immediately added:
„Anton Kutev says today – the whole party does not want Nineveh. Then why don't you put me in direct election and have the whole party throw me out by direct election? That's not what's important. The political issue, the ideological issue, the struggle with the parallel state, I struggled to protect the BSP for so many years. That is the big question.
The resigned leader of the BSP was adamant that the BSP will participate in the elections: “We cannot leave the party without registration. The sheets will be arranged according to the Statute and the rules, as before”, said Ninova and in response to a question in the studio he emphasized:
“If Maya Manolova is nominated from Sliven, Haskovo and Kyustendil, I will contact the socialists in these areas to see if they want her, if the registration depends on me. We will comply with the opinion of the socialists, not with the opinion of a few people who got together somewhere and decided that this is right. The strength of the party and the party are the members of the party“.
About the left unification: “On May 1, we did this, I, Zafirov, gathered 30 parties. What kind of large leftist union is this, in which there are no iconic names of “Buzludzhantsi”, Parvanov, Kadiev, Pirinsky, Petar Mutafchiev, Stanishev, Vanya Grigorova? The new faces are Maya Manolova, Rumen Petkov, Alexander Tomov and Tatyana Doncheva. Nevertheless, I wish for success, but I do not believe that this will give the energy for left-wing politics”, Ninova stated.
