Ivaylo Mirchev: Borisov and Dogan should talk about Peevski. This is the quick way to end it

At the moment, everything possible is being done to keep Peevski in the judicial system, in the prosecution, in the services, in the regulators, in all institutions. This offensive for the election of a new chief prosecutor by the Supreme Court is exactly his, and I wonder where Boyko Borisov is on the field here, because he too has hidden in the bushes and only occasionally raises one eye timidly, Mirchev also commented

"Borisov should come out of the bush where he is hiding, and instead of turning a blind eye, come out and say what he thinks about what is happening with Peevski today. On the other hand, the DPS - Dogan, instead of making appeals to the other parties that a common front should be made against Peevski, should get Dogan to give an interview and in it tell everything about Peevski, because this is the fast way in socio-political Peevski's plan to be completed".

This is what Ivaylo Mirchev from "Yes, Bulgaria", part of the PP-DB coalition, called before the BNR.

Peevski is untouchable in Bulgaria - this is the big problem, he was categorical. According to him, the head of DANS should go to the parliament and tell what he has regarding Peevski and what has possibly been covered up over the years. The chief prosecutor should immediately ask him for immunity, he added.

The coalition has proposed a bill according to which, when the mandate of the SJC expires, it cannot elect a new chief prosecutor, head of the SAC or Supreme Court. Ivaylo Mirchev explained that this SJC does not have the public trust for these elections:

"At the moment, everything possible is being done to keep Peevski in the judicial system, in the prosecutor's office, in the services, in the regulators, in all institutions. This offensive for the election of a new chief prosecutor by the Supreme Court is exactly his, and I wonder where Boyko Borisov is on the field here, because he too has hidden in the bushes and only occasionally gives one eye timidly.

According to him, Peevski could have been in isolation if Borisov had taken a clear and categorical position. He thinks that Peevski is Bulgaria's problem.
It should be clear that no party will have 121 deputies in the next National Assembly, noted Ivaylo Mirchev in the program "Nedelya 150". According to him, a very difficult solution will be sought. However, according to him, it is very difficult to start a real conversation with parties that pretend to be "pleasantly distracted" regarding Peevski.

However, he is adamant that after the elections there must be a government. "Waiting for a messiah, things will not work out", Mirchev was categorical and added that there must be a coalition in some form.

"The most important thing is to make sure that we do not allow another Peevski to be born in Bulgaria. There are many people who want to take Peevski's place. While we are busy removing Peevski from politics and society, there are those who are preparing to jump and take his place. The country must be freed from this type of people and the regulators should finally get to work".

The challenges facing the country are far beyond our internal differences, Ivaylo Mirchev pointed out, and he was adamant that the PP-DB coalition enters these elections strong. He urged people to vote.
"We lost 50% of our voters. These are the realities from which we must not run. On the contrary, we promised to start an honest dialogue with them after the elections. In "Yes, Bulgaria" honest dialogue we started it, our leader resigned, which is the highest price a political formation can pay. We need to continue this conversation and do everything we can in this campaign to get these peopleback. I am not convinced that in the last 3 months in a very good way we have shown that we understand them and that we have heard them. But we have to do it in the next 2 months, because otherwise nothing good awaits our country and us as politicians", commented Mirchev and explained that their proposals for the selection of candidates and lists for the upcoming elections were in this direction. He is adamant that parties must change, especially when they have a drop in electoral support.

According to him, the assembly was not well explained. Mirchev reminded about the series of elections before the assembly was formed. Its aim was for several parties to unite for a government that would have more of an expert profile and fulfill several main priorities for the country, he commented and added: "The surprise turned out - the moment you sit down to talk with GERB and suddenly Peevski also appears next to you". And yet, the deputy emphasized that they did not violate their principles.

Regarding the signals that an attempt will be made to restore the old situation in the Constitution, Mirchev said: "This is proof that Peevski's influence in the BSP has increased dramatically.

He reminded that these changes were approved by the Venice Commission and the EC. According to him, it is now very convenient to speak against the changes. According to him, the parties that want to return to the old situation are playing with the topic.

Mirchev emphasized that their proposal for the official offices was different, and the accepted one was GERB's. "If the regulators work well, if different people are really elected there in different years by different authorities, there will be no problem for someone who is not related to Borisov or Peevski to be elected. The reality is different at the moment, but in 10 or 20 years it won't be like that", he thinks.

According to him, the problem of the Constitution is that it has a controlled judicial system and a Soviet-type prosecutor's office. "If you hold the chief prosecutor, you hold everyone in the country, all the institutions," explained the deputy.
