Bojanov: Every country has the right to download illegal content, but not at the will of a politician

Every country has the right to download illegal content. Such content is child pornography or terrorist content. Here the question is whether our country is not abusing this right. Platforms should have internal processes and signals checked. Due to the limited capacity for the Bulgarian language and the lack of people who speak it, I assume that's why they took it down – have not viewed all content. The platforms rely on the fact that EU countries would not abuse, but when the institutions are conquered there is a risk of such abuses.

This was stated by PP-DB MP Bozhidar Bojanov on the air of “Eurocom”, after a video about Peevski by vlogger Stanislav Tsanov was deleted from YouTube.

The signal, according to the video platform, came from the government.

„I have contacted Google. Tsanov and I have a different opinion on many issues, but nevertheless, no matter what the content is, as long as it is not illegal, and it seems to me that it is not, there is no reason to take it down at the will of one or another minister, politician etc.“, Bojanov added.

“Volunteers of “Yes, Bulgaria“ created the site that ridicules Delyan Peevski. I decided to call the director of the GDBOP to ask if there was a substantive issue or other violation. I also received a letter from the Ministry of the Interior that there was a report of false content, Bojanov explained for the site NovoNachalo.com.
