The reasons for the accident at the "Graf Ignatievo" air base, in which in on Friday, two pilots died during training - Major Petko Dimitrov and Senior Lieutenant Vencislav Dunkin, BNR reported.
The municipalities of Dolna Mitropolia, where the Higher Air Force School is located, and Razlog, where Lieutenant Dunkin is from, are in mourning.
By order of the Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov, September 14, 15 and 16 have been declared days of mourning in the Ministry of Defense, the Bulgarian Army and in the structures directly subordinated to the Minister.
An additional inspection was carried out at the crash site yesterday. The three initial hypotheses regarding the cause of the accident are pilot error, technical malfunction or an incorrectly set command.
