The first female president of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences takes office today at an official ceremony, NOVA reported.
Professor Evelina Slavcheva was elected to head the largest scientific institution in our country on December 2, making her the first female president of the BAS in the institution's 155-year history.
Today Acad. Julian Revalski will symbolically hand over the key to the Academy to Professor Evelina Slavcheva.
