On the basis of Art. 98, item 13 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, with his decree No. 22 of February 17, 2025, President Rumen Radev named Sofia Airport after the Apostle of Freedom Vasil Levski. Thus, its official name becomes “Vasil Levski” Airport – Sofia.
