After a series of vandalism against the anti-fascist monument near the mouth of the Kamchia River, the local structure of "Vazrazhdane" has again organized an action to clean it. The chairman of the political organization Kostadin Kostadinov, MPs, municipal councilors and volunteers joined the initiative.
The anti-fascist monument has become the object of another desecration, although last summer a structure of "Vazrazhdane" has already restored the broken memorial plaque once. Today, the participants in the action removed the pollution, washed the monument and restored its appearance.
“For the third or fourth time we come here to clean the desecrated Bulgarian memory“, said the municipal councilor from Varna and deputy chairman of “Vazrazhdane” Georgi Georgiev. “With my like-minded people, we restored the dignity of this place. We will do it again and again, if necessary - every day, every hour, every time when the dregs of society encroach on our history. History must be protected and passed on to future generations as it is. It is time for Vazrazhdane. Long live Bulgaria!“
“Vazrazhdane“ announced that he would file a report with the regional police departments and the prosecutor's office demanding an investigation into the acts of vandalism, which have already been repeated.
“To our shame, while Bulgaria does nothing, a foreign country such as the Russian Federation has begun investigative actions to identify the repeat offenders who are once again desecrating the anti-fascist monument. At the same time, the Bulgarian authorities are not taking measures and are providing an umbrella over the neo-fascists through their inaction.”, said Kostadin Kostadinov to the gathered citizens.
