A 14-year-old boy from the village of Trustikovo, Avren municipality, has been admitted to intensive care with life-threatening injuries after falling off an electric scooter, the Varna police announced today, quoted by BTA. The child was riding the vehicle, but lost control and fell onto the roadway. The boy suffered skull fractures and a right collarbone from the impact.
The police in Varna periodically conduct campaigns focusing on scooters and sanction their drivers who violate traffic regulations. The police report that the most common violations by drivers of such vehicles are improper driving on the road and failure to use reflective elements on clothing.
