Nurses stage national protest on their professional holiday. The demonstration is organized by the Union of Bulgarian Medical Specialists.
Workers in the field from all over the country will gather at 12:00 in front of the Ministry of Health building.
Among their demands are decent wages of 150% of the average salary and better working conditions. They are also demanding a 7-hour workday in intensive care units, as well as a national policy for staff retention.
