The water situation in Haskovo is again in a critical state. The Water and Sanitation Department announced that the water in the city is not suitable for drinking and cooking. 4 out of 9 samples have elevated radiation levels. The health of thousands of people is threatened.

The problem has been around for a long time. As an MP, I have raised the issue several times, but the ruling GERB party has not taken any measures for years. The repeated tests will take two months, which means that we, the residents of Haskovo, will enter the heat of the summer season, without access to clean water. The cynical thing about this case is that the measures include the deployment of 3 water carriers in the city for the tens of thousands of residents. A mockery!

We insist on immediate measures from the municipality, the Water and Sewerage Department and the Ministry of Environment and Water.
