The movement of ground public transport in Sofia was restored this evening, the Sofia Municipality announced.
Trams, trolleybuses and buses from the "Banishora" depot and buses from the "Malashevtsi" garage have already started running.
The gradual re-launch of transport vehicles from the other depots and garages in the city is expected.
The Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) announced earlier today that they are lifting the blockade and that there will be ground public transport in Sofia again from Tuesday. In a live broadcast on the union's Facebook page, the chairman of the Federation of Transport Unions, Alexander Shopov, and protesters began removing the barriers at the “Banishora“ depot.
