The “Road Infrastructure“ Agency coordinates with the hotel and restaurant business the repair schedules for the “Trakia“ motorway, given the approaching active tourist season. At a working meeting with RIA, the Chairman of the Management Board, Eng. Yordan Valchev, introduced the representatives of the industry to the repairs on the main routes to the Black Sea coast. This is the second consecutive meeting in less than a week, which is being held at the initiative of the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Ivanov. Deputy Minister of Tourism Pavlin Petrov also participated in it.
At the meeting, Eng. Valchev emphasized that on all sections of the “Trakia“ work is ongoing and it is planned to complete the asphalt works in the sections in the Sofia and Plovdiv districts by June 12. Our goal is to complete the construction activities in the shortest possible time, so as not to cause any inconvenience to either the citizens or the tourism business. We know that summer tourism is important for the sector and we do not want to hinder your work or people's vacations in any way, said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the RIA. If there are not many rainy days in the next two weeks, there is a possibility that the asphalt works will be completed by June 12. If the weather does not allow the implementation of the scheduled activities, they will continue until June 19 at the latest. After that, the curbs, horizontal markings, elastic fences and the benches will be laid. The traffic will be organized so that there are two lanes for travel in each direction and the necessary traffic permeability is ensured.
