Rumyana Bachvarova: GERB and PP-DB could not stay together. The two sides set mutually unfulfillable conditions

It seemed unfeasible for GERB to support the sanitary cordon, and on the other side they also set conditions for Borisov not to be prime minister. „GERB and PP-DB could not stay together. During these negotiations it turned out that the two sides set mutually unfulfillable conditions“. This was commented on bTV by former Minister of Interior Rumyana Bachvarova.
It seemed unfeasible for GERB to support the sanitary cordon, and on the other side they also set conditions for Borisov not to be prime minister. Then they did not approve Zhelyazkov and with such extreme positions it is very difficult to negotiate. There was no framework within which to seek agreement, she added.

According to her, the main problem at the moment is that there is destabilization in the country and “this destructuring of political life, in which everyone can, if they try seriously and long-term, control what they want.“

“In this sense, even the president's decision and proposal for a referendum on the euro works in this direction. It creates chaos, it creates turmoil in society and anyone who wants to penetrate and influence through this information and propaganda, God forbid through a project and action in a special situation, can very easily change it“, said Rumyana Bachvarova.
She also commented on the scandalous public procurement with the icons, stating that there is no comprehensive strategy on how to combat road violations.

"The balloons and pens may be part of a process in which children are attracted to the topic, but for now I don't see how the inspections will take place“, said Bachvarova.
