We agreed that we would seek attempts to interact with the professional and political leadership regarding training to increase the capacity of employees, with our commitment being only to the members of the individual trade union organizations. We raised the problems related to this training, we met with understanding. There are colleagues who work on a shift basis, that is, their training should be in the form of overtime. This was stated by Iliya Kuzmanov, Chairman of the Board of the Trade Union Federation of Ministry of Interior Employees, to journalists after the end of the meeting with the Minister of Interior Daniel Mitov, reported novini.bg.

According to him, the training is practical, when detaining individuals, to avoid problems like the one in Varna with Yavor, in order to protect the health and lives of citizens and colleagues.

„We have much more materials than what is being talked about, but we respect investigative secrecy. We are convinced that colleagues in this situation should not be labeled as murderers and criminals, incl. and that disciplinary checks against them should remain within the framework of the Ministry of Interior law, and not be under the so-called A code of ethics that implies dismissal for anyone who "damages the prestige," Kuzmanov explained.

According to him, body cameras are very useful: "At the moment, the quantity is not small, more were promised. We talked about gentle weapons like the Taser. The management has made sure that there will be sufficient quantities of such in the near future, it was declared."

It is categorical that at this stage there is no evidence of exceeding the powers of the police officers, leading to death, or the need to impose a punishment of "dismissal."
