Once again, we draw attention to one of the eternal problems in the capital's Dragalevtsi neighborhood - the construction of the sewage system and the ongoing repairs. This topic has already been discussed many times, but the real end of the project is still not in sight.
We are constantly monitoring this topic, but the question is when the end will be visible, and unfortunately, there is no clear date at the moment. The problems in the neighborhood remain serious.
"There is no sidewalk, mothers with children walk through fecal water. This is terrible," shared Veselin Yordanov to BNT.
According to him, the excavation of the streets and the emergence of new sources of pollution have become a common sight.
Raina Valcheva: "There was a moment when the shaft was literally erupting, the smell was unbearable. In the summer, the situation becomes even more unbearable for those living here."
"We started accepting the sewage system on June 15. The owner of a hotel in the neighborhood is already building inspection shafts to join the network and stop the overflows," explained Eng. Ivo Ivanov, who is responsible for the project.
He specified that there are still several critical sections that need reconstruction and repairs, and promised that this will be done within the next 24 days:
"After that, the acceptance of the sewage system and the inspection of the inspection shafts continue."
Ivanov urged residents to submit applications to join the new network. However, the people of the neighborhood remain skeptical and insist on a faster solution, since "life in this disgrace has been going on for 3 years", as they say.
