The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Ivanov and the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Regional Policy, Public Works and Local Self-Government Nikolay Nankov (GERB-SDF) will inspect the finishing works on the "Europe" motorway, the relevant ministry announced.
The total length of the route, which is an important part of the Trans-European Transport Network, is 63 km and starts from the border with the Republic of Serbia (at the Kalotina border checkpoint), dariknews.bg. It is included in the Northern Expressway, which is also part of the motorway. Through the tangent, the car and freight flow is distributed to the "Hemus" Motorway and the "Trakia" Motorway.
BTA recalls that, according to Minister Ivanov, a new road section of the "Hemus" Motorway (AM) is due to open in September, with a length of 17 km, as well as the high-speed connection between Bulgaria and Serbia via the "Europe" Motorway.
