Russian President Vladimir Putin said today that Russia will find out who was behind last month's attack on a concert hall near Moscow that killed at least 144 people, Reuters reported, BTA reported.

"We will definitely get to those who ultimately ordered it," Putin said at a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. "We paid a very high price and the entire analysis of the situation must be extremely objective and professional."

The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack, and US officials said they had intelligence that the attack was carried out by the network's Afghan branch – "Islamic State Khorasan" (ID-X).

Russia claims it has evidence the attackers had ties to Ukraine, which Kiev denies and the US dismisses as nonsense.

Meanwhile, the head of Russia's foreign intelligence (RVR) Sergei Naryshkin said that the US had sent Moscow information about a potential attack, but that it was too general, reported "Interfax".

"The Federal Security Service (FSS) received certain information from the intelligence services of the United States of America that such a thing [a threat of an attack on the "Crocus City Hall" – ed. note], unfortunately, it is possible. But as our Russian colleagues said, the information was too general and did not allow to fully identify the persons involved in this terrible crime," Naryshkin said after a meeting of the heads of the RVR and the State Security Committee of Belarus, TASS reported.
