A bridge has collapsed in the northeastern Beijing district of Shunyi, the Associated Press reports, citing official information and images shared on social media, BTA reports.
According to data from the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, published on the social network Weibo, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Parts of the structure were damaged after a fire broke out this morning. As a result of the incident, traffic on the bridge was stopped in both directions. The fire has been extinguished, and authorities are currently investigating the cause of its occurrence.
