The new Volkswagen Golf GTI, in addition to technical innovations, received a new infotainment system, new software and a new design. However, it will not be offered with a manual gearbox. There are also no versions with four-wheel drive.
From the outside, the car is recognizable by the new LED headlights and the illuminated Volkswagen logo on the front. The LED taillights have also been updated and there are new Queenstown 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the updated infotainment systems are intuitively controlled via a visually separate touchscreen or via IDA - a new voice assistant with ChatGPT integration.
The car is equipped with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission (DSG) as standard. The new Golf GTI can now be configured and ordered. Its prices in Germany start from 44,505 euros.
The latest evolution of the turbocharged engine delivers a maximum torque of 370Nm to the front axle, which is combined with an electronic differential lock from 1600rpm
This power is now available up to 4,590 rpm. The GTI's engine produces a maximum output of 195 kW / 265 hp, available between 5,250 and 6,500 rpm. The maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
The rapid seven-speed DSG gearbox ensures the transmission of the Golf GTI's power to the drive axle with virtually no clutch interruption when changing gears.
Inside, the Golf GTI features premium sports seats with integrated headrests and the signature GTI logo. The seats, the central armrest, the mats and the multifunction steering wheel have red decorative stitching.
