The new Volkswagen Nivus GTS was presented in Brazil, where its price will start at 174,990 reais (27,000 euros). It is worth noting that the model is also presented in a number of European countries, including in our country under the name VW Taigo.
The coupe-crossover is a budget alternative to the BMW X6 or Porsche Cayenne Coupe. The Volkswagen Nivus GTS crossover features a more powerful 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 150 hp.
The engine is borrowed from the VW Polo GTS hatchback and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The transmission is front-wheel drive, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes 8.4 seconds.
You can distinguish the new Volkswagen Nivus GTS by its special radiator grille, black mirrors, red accents on the body and special 17- or 18-inch wheels.
There is also red decor in the interior of the Volkswagen Nivus GTS. Sports seats are also installed, and the equipment has been expanded to include air conditioning, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a camera, and wireless charging for smartphones.
