Bosch failed to sell its plants in St. Petersburg - 1

The German company Bosch planned to sell its subsidiary in Russia, OOO BSH Household Appliances, in 2024, but was unable to do so due to its transfer to temporary management of Gazprom. This is stated in the company's annual report.

„The deal to sell shares in the Russian subsidiary of BSH Household Appliances LLC“ in St. Petersburg, which was planned the previous year, turned out to be impossible. “This happened because in April of the reporting year the enterprise was transferred to Russian state administrative management“, the document says.

The enterprise OOO “BSH Бытовые приборы“, which previously belonged to a subsidiary of the German Bosch, in 2024 by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin passed under the control of “Gazprom Бытовые системы“. Later “Kommersant“ reported that the company plans to restart the German company's factories in St. Petersburg and start producing refrigerators and washing machines in 2025.

“BSH household appliances“ is registered in St. Petersburg, its main activity is the production of household electrical appliances. “Gazprom Domakinski Sistemy“ - a subsidiary of PJSC „Gazprom“, is the largest manufacturer of household gas equipment in Russia.

In its report, Bosch also notes that on September 10, 2024, it completed the sale of shares in its Russian subsidiary Bosch Thermotechnics LLC in Moscow. The company was engaged in the sale of heating systems and worked in the field of energy and construction technologies. „The sale took place because it was no longer possible to continue the activity due to the sanctions regime“, the German company said.

According to the document, at the end of 2024, Bosch still retained control over „Stroitelstvo i investits“ OOD, registered in Khimki, as well as over the Moscow-based „Bosch Rexroth“ OOD and „Robert Bosch“ Ltd.
