In some sectors, where prices have been held back until now, there are now upward adjustments, in others - such as hotels and restaurants, for example, traditionally in the height of summer prices are higher due to greater demand.
In general, in larger cities, where incomes are higher and grow faster, households tolerate the rise in the cost of living more easily.
Statistics also show that if annual inflation is slightly above 5 percent, the annual increase in the average salary is 12%.
The State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets announced that there were no sharp changes in the basic goods in the consumer basket - it now costs 96 leva - two leva less than a week ago.
„For the last 105 days "We have stabilization in the market. We do not have any trends anywhere that would give the impression of something abnormal. The variations are small and are related and justified by the seasonal factor," commented Vladimir Ivanov from the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets.
The forecasts are for inflation to grow slightly, and due to the contraction of leading economies in the European Union, no significant growth in incomes is expected in our country.
“This affects Bulgarian exports, Bulgarian industrial production, and in my opinion this is gradually slowing down income growth“, believes Stoyan Panchev.
Experts warn that after mid-October, food prices are also expected to rise, as the fresh produce that is now flooding the market will decrease.
