Mihail Konstantinov: In the elections now we will have a 4-party coalition again - 1

The research by the "Myara" agency is not a surprise. It confirms previous research - traditionally low approval of the parliament. This was said by Prof. Mihail Konstantinov on the air of BNT.

Yesterday, the sociological agency "Myara" published a study, according to which the approval of the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet is 17.4%. The study also shows that in the event of elections now, GERB-SDF remains the first political force, "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB), "Vazrazhdane" and DPS-New Beginning are moving in a "package".

The data is from an independent study from the regular research program of the sociological agency "Measure". The study was conducted "face to face" with tablets between September 4 and 12, 2025 among 802 adult Bulgarian citizens.

"If we hold elections now, they will again produce a 4-party coalition, as at present. Does it make sense to hold elections - I think not. There will be no elections by the New Year. I do not expect new early parliamentary elections by the presidential elections," adds Konstantinov.

According to political scientist Lyubomir Stefanov, new elections and a new political player are not currently on the horizon. "Citizens are expecting something new, but it has no face. There are no expectations of change for the parties in parliament. Citizens know that these are the players and we have this, having one thing in mind: a new political player may appear," he added.

According to Stefanov, the government will not last its full 4-year mandate.

The two also commented on a possible political formation headed by President Radev.

"To participate in the elections, you need an organization with people who can bring other people. Apart from Radev, we have not seen any other people. If a party is going to be formed, it will be Rumen Radev's party, not the Bulgarian president's. So far, we have no evidence that someone who came down from Dondukov has gone through the underpass and sat at the head of the Council of Ministers," Lyubomir Stefanov pointed out.

The high presidential rating is not inherited by Radev when he leaves office. Mr. Radev will not automatically inherit the presidency's rating, believes Mihail Konstantinov.
