Instead of solving the water crisis, the government is deepening it. We have never had such incompetent, thieving and antisocial government. This is what Cornelia Ninova, leader of "Unruly Bulgaria" wrote on Facebook.
Today, at first reading in committee, the deputies adopted the new law on water supply, submitted by the Council of Ministers. It introduces a new additional access fee. So we will now pay twice: once for having access to the water supply network, even if we do not use water, and a second time for the actual amount of water consumed.
Have you ever seen such a miracle? Paying for access to something that does not exist. You did not consume it. You haven't seen it! It's not enough that people in 89 municipalities currently have no water, that they wash themselves with jugs and basins, but they will have to pay more and more to fill the pockets of the owners of private houses and finance the leakage through the depreciated pipes. And those who live outside the city in the summer will pay in two places all year round! An abnormal bill! This law must be stopped. It is unjust, absurd and antisocial.”
