President Rumen Radev will visit the Land Forces training center “Lyulyak“ in Stara Zagora, where a competition with operators of unmanned aerial systems of the Land Forces “Yastrebovo oko 25“ will be held, the press secretariat of the head of state announced.
Rumen Radev will be welcomed at the training ground by an honor guard, after which the final stage of the competition is scheduled to take place. The regulations include the performance of two exercises - master piloting, as well as reconnaissance of an object and orientation.
The President will participate in an award ceremony for the teams that ranked in the prize places in the competition. Rumen Radev will greet the participants in the competition.
Unmanned aerial systems in service with the Land Forces will be presented during the event.
Government representatives from Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Lithuania, Poland and Romania will discuss with the European Commission the proposal to build a European “wall against drones“, a spokesman for the institution announced earlier this week. According to him, the need to build a European system against drones is even more evident after the cases in Poland and Romania.
