The Minister of Interior, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior and the Chairman of the State Agency “National Security“ have been summoned to a hearing by the Commission for the Control of Services. The topic is the extraordinary vote for the municipal council in Pazardzhik, Nova TV reports.
It was the result of the elections there that led to a crisis in the government and a series of negotiations between the ruling partners. During election day, there was a citizen's arrest in the village of Ognyanovo on suspicion of vote buying.
At this point, the director of the regional police has been removed from office and an investigation is underway.
