Andrey Tsekov: GERB is a facade of the MRF government - 1

GERB is a facade of the MRF government. This was said in the studio of "The Day Begins" on BNT by the MP from „We continue the change -ndash; Democratic Bulgaria“ Andrey Tsekov. He commented on the rotations in parliament, the influence of GERB and MRF, the judicial reform and the European inspections on the justice system in our country.

„The last week is the logical end of a process that has a long history. We saw the formalization of the MRF's participation in the government, a fact that has been present continuously for the last 12-13 years“, commented in „The Day Begins“ Andrey Tsekov from PP-DB.

He explained that Borisov's attempts to formalize power by including the DPS were visible even with the rotational government.

„This was Borisov's attempt to lighten the government by returning to the post of Prime Minister with ministers from "DPS - New Beginning". But there is no benefit for the DPS to participate officially – they are using a borrowed face, and GERB is just a facade“, explained Tsekov.

According to him, they are not officially entering power, apparently because they are using all the advantages of power.

„For "DPS - New Beginning" there is no benefit to participating in power, it would rather be negative to participate officially in power. They are using the borrowed face of GERB", said the PP-DB MP.

Tsekov emphasized the role of the opposition:

„The opposition's job is to shed light on the phenomena that are happening in the shadows of the conquered state. Directing the spotlight on this system is the surest way to start its end“, Tsekov also commented.

„I don't think anyone can clean up a person who has become so closely intertwined with the state. Delyan Peevski appeared in the assembly thanks to GERB, which turned out to be unable to form an independent political will without Peevski's sanction," the MP pointed out.

He emphasized that the goal of PP-DB at that time was to initiate the long-delayed judicial reform.

Tsekov said that he had serious objections to the work of Natalia Kiselova. He also commented on the idea of rotating the chair of the National Assembly.

"Purely professionally, I have serious objections to the work of Ms. Kiselova as chair of the National Assembly and her skills to control the plenary hall and impose a sufficiently authoritative order in the work of the National Assembly, adhering to the provisions of the rules. Purely from a political point of view, I believe that a rotation that the ruling party is discussing is more like a step towards the absolute destruction of the BSP. They are already in the final breaths of their existence and of course, guaranteeing a more convenient for GERB and "DPS - New Beginning" possible prime minister in early elections," commented Andrey Tsekov.

He denied having a non-aggression pact with the head of state Rumen Radev.
