Criticism of Natalia Kiselova as Speaker of the National Assembly was not spared today by some of the MPs, reports novini.bg.
During one of his appearances on the podium, the Speaker of “Vazrazhdane“ Kostadin Kostadinov accused Kiselova of applying double standards, allowing the leader of MECH Radostin Vassilev to insult the MP from “Vazrazhdane“ Tsoncho Ganev.
“You allowed one MP to exercise quite obscene behavior towards another MP. The double standard does you no honor. In fact, your days as Speaker of the National Assembly are running out. We have already asked you to resign three times. Stop showing double standards. You are only extremely picky towards us“, Kostadinov indignantly said from the podium.
Before him, Krasimira Katincharova from MECH also expressed dissatisfaction with the manner of conduct, reproaching her for not allowing enough time for registrations for a quorum.
After the end of the criticism against the Speaker of Parliament, Hristo Gadzhev from GERB made three proposals for voting – to rearrange today's program of the National Assembly; to extend the working hours of the Parliament until the agenda is exhausted; and checking the quorum in the hall.
The first two proposals were voted on and adopted, and the quorum check established that 122 MPs were present in the plenary hall.
The deputies then began work on the substance with the discussion of the second reading of amendments to the Law on the Promotion of Investments related to the sale of “Lukoil“.
During the debates, however, the tension in the hall escalated during the speech from the rostrum of the MP from "Vazrazhdane" Daniel Prodanov.
In his statement, he stated that if it were not for Russia to liberate us, Bulgaria would not exist today, but would be part of the Turkish state. This caused a shout from the seat by Stanislav Anastasov from the PG of the MRF-New Beginning.
"Such a Janissary! "Your time is running out and your end will not be pleasant at all," Prodanov replied, which caused a commotion in the hall.
To calm the passions, Natalia Kiselova gave a 15-minute break.
