With representatives of the parliamentary groups of "There is such a people", "BSP - United Left" and DPS - "New Beginning" we submitted a draft resolution to the National Assembly, which we will shortly consider in the budget committee and subsequently in the plenary hall, which concerns the fuel sector in Bulgaria. Our proposal is - we limit the export of diesel and aviation fuel from the country as a preventive measure. We have fuel for many months to come, but we want to prevent speculation with fuel prices, as well as abuse of the quantities that we store in Bulgaria". This was stated in parliament by Delyan Dobrev from GERB-SDF, quoted by BNT.
According to him, our country has enough fuel for months to come, not counting the state reserve, where there is still additional fuel.
"You see the situation that has arisen in all the countries around us - prices are rising in our opinion because of speculation on the specific geopolitical situation - therefore, in order to prevent such speculation and to guarantee the normal economic rhythm in the country, we are introducing this temporary measure for the export of diesel and aviation fuel. In the draft decision, we give flexibility to the director of the "Customs" Agency, if necessary for humanitarian or technological reasons related to maintaining the continuity of the production process of "Neochim" to allow the export of certain products at its discretion, Delyan Dobrev added.
After it became clear that the Russian oil giant "Lukoil" would sell its foreign assets amid US sanctions, the authorities are taking preventive measures regarding fuels today.
