The father of the deceased in the road accident, Siyana - Nikolay Popov, announced that he is establishing a civil movement that has nothing to do with politics. His goal will be to "put pressure on politicians".
"Its only mission is to seek justice, to put pressure and to provide solutions. This is my mission, which I have accepted after what happened to me", Popov announced to BNT.
He explained that the civil movement is open to all people and that it will not turn into a party.
"We will be united by one important thing - good. Only together can we make the desired change,", Nikolay Popov emphasized.
Siyana's father said that his fight for justice is going hard. There are many obstacles on the way, but he declares that he will not give up.
"In this regard, we have prepared a petition requesting the resignation of the President of the Supreme Court of Cassation Galina Zakharova to stop corruption in the court, because this court is the last stop for corruption in the judicial system", Popov commented.
And he added that the Supreme Court of Cassation is where cases are finally decided and "the so-called "fixing" of these cases, which usually goes through the lawyers, whether it is an acquittal or a reduction in sentences". In his words, this is the huge problem - "corruption in the court is difficult to prove, because the judges hide behind their inner conviction".
"That is, their inner conviction can be one at one time, and another time it can be completely different, and this is the case with Ms. Zakharova, who has a completely contradictory inner conviction in two interpretative decisions," Popov pointed out.
They are demanding her resignation from the movement because of "all the madness that is happening and because of the insane verdicts". He added that all these years the court has been out of the spotlight of public attention, unlike the prosecutor's office.
My battle, he said, is related to reducing road casualties, and this battle inevitably goes through the judicial system. Popov announced that he would not enter into any political disputes, because all politicians are to blame for what has been happening on the roads in recent years. And he insisted on reform.
"I do not see a war against institutions, I see a war directed against citizens. The very persistence in not being accepted by the Supreme Judicial Council is proof of this. That's why we submitted a request for a meeting with the parliamentary parties with a request for a Law on Experts and to fix the mess they made with the amendments to the Penal Code. But the parties are not interested", was categorical Siyana's father.
Popov said that when there were 20,000 people in front of the church "St. Alexander Nevsky" his phone rang non-stop. Everyone lined up to call him.
"Well, you have to say that this one is guilty". No, I won't say, because you are all guilty. This negligence of theirs will at some point explode in an uncontrollable way, and then I will not stop the crowd from going to the parliament," said Nikolay Popov.
The accident that led to Siyana's death occurred on March 31 on the section between the villages of Telish and Radomirtsi. Then the 65-year-old driver of a heavy truck, Georgi Aleksandrov, swept away the car in which Siyana, her grandfather and grandmother were. The adults miraculously survived, but the child's grandfather received serious injuries.
