Social Minister Borislav Gutsanov commented on the issue of Christmas allowances for pensioners.
"There is no social minister who does not want to have Christmas and Easter allowances", he explained to journalists, quoted by dariknews.bg. He added that he had received a letter from Sacheva and it would be carefully considered.
"There is serious logic in what is implied in the request to legally determine the Christmas and Easter allowances - this requires some work, it cannot be done overnight", he added.
"I have sent a letter to the National Social Security Institute asking for all possible estimates so that we can assess with the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance, and the other colleagues in the administration - what can be done so that there is the necessary Christmas funds. I believe that this issue will be resolved. We will find a solution", Gutsanov said and recalled that even in the spring there were Easter allowances.
"I welcome every proposal, I believe that we are indebted to one of the most vulnerable groups in society - pensioners", Gutsanov also said.
