Parvan Simeonov: The authorities in Bulgaria will suffer a huge negative from the way they are implementing the adoption of the euro - 1

Whether the euro is to blame or not - the appreciation so far will be attributed to it. This was said in an interview with "Osche ut djenja" on BNT, political scientist Parvan Simeonov, quoted by novini.bg.

According to him, citizens do not hear the explanations of the institutions on the subject for one simple reason - they do not believe them.

The irrational motivation of our fellow citizens to be against the euro, according to him, is that the Bulgarian lev is perceived by people as a symbol of our state. "They are not ready to part with it at this level", added the political scientist, specifying that the "sovereignist wave" has swept the entire Western world: from Donald Trump, through Marine Le Pen, to Kaczynski.

According to Simeonov, the authorities in Bulgaria will suffer a huge negative from the way they are implementing the adoption of the euro. "Prices have risen, and the budget has been visibly fabricated to get back on track. The damage will come, including because the idea of a referendum to preserve the Bulgarian lev was neglected in this way", he explained, noting that Rumen Radev's reaction on the topic is "a visible entry into campaign mode" on his part.

From the saga with Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev, in his words, the political dividend is for the PP-DB.

Simeonov is of the opinion that the government has successfully resolved the case with "Lukoil". "Rumen Spetsov is obviously a person who is beneficial to the Americans. And this has been the case since the time of Assen Vassilev", he noted.

"If prices are not raised and there is no shortage of fuel, Bulgarians will be satisfied. That's how it is done", the political scientist summarized.
