The injured woman in the accident on the road between the village of Lyatno and the “Kus“ quarter of the town of Kaolinovo, a 61-year-old woman, died in the hospital in Shumen, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.
A report of the incident was received at around 11:20 a.m. at the police in Shumen.
A passenger car with a Shumen registration, driven by a 60-year-old man from Kaolinovo, went off the road to the left and hit a tree.
The driver died on the spot, and a 61-year-old woman traveling in the car was transported to the hospital in Shumen.
Over 70,000 violations were found from the beginning of the year to the end of October on the roads in Shumen region – 15,000 more compared to the same period last year.
