More details are expected today about the action of the Anti-Corruption and Sofia City Prosecutor's Office on the investigation into "Historical Park" and the leader of the "Velichye" party Ivelin Mihaylov. It is not yet clear how many people have been detained and whether any charges will be filed.
Yesterday, numerous addresses were searched in Sofia, Varna, Shumen, Pazardzhik and the village of Neofit Rilski. The home of the leader of "Velichye" Ivelin Mihaylov was also searched.
The prosecutor's office said that they are investigating an organized crime group around the "Historical Park", operating throughout the country in the period from 2013 to 2025. It is about embezzlement, fraud and money laundering.
The pre-trial proceedings were initiated on December 9 last year and are being conducted by the Anti-Corruption Commission.
