Alexander Rusanov, who left the leadership of the PP: They planned a second meeting with GERB and DPS - New Beginning

Alexander Rusanov, who left the leadership of the PP: They planned a second meeting with GERB and DPS - New Beginning - 1

The shortest answer to why I left is because they say one thing and do another. For the protests that we see today, the reason may be the budget, but the real reason is not that. This was said in an interview with bTV by Alexander Rusanov, who refused to remain at the head of the Control Council of "We continue the change", quoted by novini.bg. He announced his decision on social networks, and the reason for leaving his post was the fact that his party members voted against holding a national referendum on Bulgaria's readiness to adopt the euro.

"The reason is one a fleeting vote for the presidential referendum. It is meaningless because the eurozone is an irreversible process. PP voted together with GERB and DPS-New Beginning so that the next assembly would clearly appear on the board. Why do you have to line up with those you call criminals? This is a trap", he warned.

We recall that on Wednesday the majority rejected President Rumen Radev's proposal for a national referendum with 33 of the PP-DB votes. Upon leaving as head of the Control Commission, Rusanov said that he was "extremely disappointed and disgusted" by the fact that his party members voted together with the people of Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski, against whom they were supposedly fighting.

According to him, the moment to leave was very precise, because otherwise he risked "the new assembly would come tomorrow, and he would be silent".

Rusanov also gave an example of bad treatment towards him by people in "Promyanata". "At my first meeting of the Executive Council, Asen Vassilev told me to leave. It wasn't against me personally, but there were sensitive topics. What do we have to hide, aren't we open, aren't we honest? I recently had an informal conversation with a member of the executive council and asked him why we vote with GERB and MRF, do we want a second assembly? Well, he told me, what else do you expect", he said.
