The gray sector in fuels in Bulgaria is worth hundreds of millions of euros - about 1% of what the state wanted to collect as additional social security contributions with the first draft of the state budget in 2026.
For the last 4 years, this sector has remained stable.
This was announced in the morning block of BNT by Svetoslav Benchev, the Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association (BPGA).
There is no evidence that "Lukoil Neftochim" is involved, but there are other tax warehouses and production outside the Burgas refinery, he announced and explained that it is clear that the schemes are not chicken coops and small.
Benchev announced that large chains do not participate in the gray sector.
There are no problems in the fuel sector so far, he informed and reminded in "The Day Begins" that we have 6 months to resolve the issues with "Lukoil Neftochim".
Fortunately, he also said, nothing is happening with the price of oil on international markets, we do not expect anything to happen in the coming days.
