The court released on bail the suspended traffic police inspectors Georgi Georgiev and Boris Borisov, accused of demanding bribes from truck drivers transporting equipment for the Robbie Williams concert in Sofia. This was reported by bTV.
In the courtroom, the prosecutor's office requested permanent arrest for the two men on the grounds that there was sufficient evidence of the crime they committed, and there were also camera recordings showing the drivers withdrawing the money requested as a bribe.
The defense insisted on a lighter measure, since the men had been suspended from their positions and there was no danger of them committing a crime.
In the end, the court released the two men on bail of 5,000 leva and 3,000 leva. The amounts depend on the income of their families.
