Hristo Gadzhev: The result of "Vazrazhdane" will be key for the next cabinet - 1

„GERB will appear in the upcoming elections with a clear vision and program for governance, with the goal remaining for the party to once again be the first political force“, said in the studio of „Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov“ the secretary of the GERB-SDF PG Hristo Gadzhev, emphasizing that the priorities for 2026 and 2027 have already been clearly outlined.

Among the main focuses of GERB's policies is the accelerated development of the high-tech industry.

Regarding the political situation and expectations for the next parliament, GERB admits that the formation of a regular government will not be easier than the previous one. According to them, the result will be of key importance of “Vazrazhdane“, which are defined both as a potential competitor and a possible factor for shifting the political balances.

The formation categorically excludes the possibility of a coalition with “Vazrazhdane“, emphasizing that there cannot be a common government with parties with radically different political views.

On the topic of Rumen Radev's possible participation with a new political project, Gadzhev stated that he is not a new factor in politics and has been actively participating in the governance processes for nine years.

“His people and his political positions are well known, and the results of his caretaker governments are subject to evaluation“, he commented.

Gadzhev stated that GERB is conducting a campaign without personal attacks and hate speech, in order to make reasonable talks about governance possible after the elections. “After the campaign, we will still have to sit at one table and seek solutions for country“, he emphasized.

Gajev also commented on the issue of the caretaker government, stating that it is not important for them who will be the caretaker prime minister. It is more important for the cabinet to be apolitical and to guarantee the normal conduct of the elections, without additional crises.

He also defended Bulgaria's participation in the Peace Council, emphasizing that there is no European decision prohibiting this participation. According to him, the country's presence in such a format is important for its international image and relations with strategic partners such as the United States. According to him, Bulgaria does not have a financial commitment of 1 billion euros, except for covering the transportation costs of the delegations.
