I expect the election campaign to be very dirty, but we are used to it. Unfortunately, for a long time now we have not seen a battle of ideologies, ideas, platforms, programs in the campaigns. We do not see it now, and probably we will not see it all the time. This was announced to Lili Marinkova in the studio “FACT“ and the show “Conversation“ by psychiatrist Dr. Tsvetislava Galabova.
“We are talking about technologies through which to restore the trust of voters, but I really want to tell the parties and politicians that trust is not lost because of election technologies. It is being lost because you - respected and not so respected party leaders - put unsellable people on the stall. People do not vote because of paper, machines or scanners, but because they do not like what the parties offer them - candidates for entering politics, candidates for deputies and future rulers. This is exactly what disgusts people. Parties are absolutely obliged, as the main structures in the party system, to put things in order. We are an indirect representative democracy and parties are one of the foundations of this democracy. They have the obligation to elect quality people and promote them - people whom we can recognize as our future rulers, "the guest added.
„Instead, we are already dealing with topics such as relations with President Radev and election technologies. We are constantly talking about corruption and judicial reform. There is no way that with a few interviews in a protected, glossy environment you can clear up what you have been doing for years – I mean Borisov. I doubt that GERB supporters will be impressed by such appearances. People who follow Borisov will follow him even without these interviews. If they were done with the aim of polishing the public image, I do not think that this goal has been achieved“, shared Dr. Galabova.
