Projects for financing key departments for 2026, ratification of international financial mechanisms, measures in the “Transport“ sector, as well as decisions related to security and energy, are to be discussed by the outgoing Council of Ministers at its regular meeting at 10:00, the government press service reported, quoted by BTA.
The Cabinet will discuss draft decisions to approve the financing for 2026 of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of e-Government. It is also planned to approve the budgets of the State Agency “State Reserve and Wartime Stocks“.
The meeting will also consider two draft resolutions for a proposal to the National Assembly to ratify the Memoranda of Understanding on the implementation of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the period 2021 – 2028. The documents regulate the financial support from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway for the socio-economic development of Bulgaria.
The agenda also includes a draft decision on assigning obligations to provide public transport services by rail, as well as a draft to allow the stay of several research vessels in Bulgarian maritime spaces in the Black Sea in connection with the implementation of the optical cable project “Cardesa“.
The Council of Ministers will also consider a draft decision to grant a derogation from certain provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 833/2014, related to restrictive measures against Russia, destabilizing the situation in Ukraine.
Among the items are also the adoption of annual reports on the activities of the Administrative Reform Council and the European Affairs Council for 2025, as well as the National Prevention and Awareness Program for the period 2026 – 2030.
The Cabinet will also discuss a draft resolution on a proposal to the President to award Draga Ivanova Toncheva with the Order of “St. Cyril and Methodius“ – necklace.
