There is no restriction of rights with the reduction of polling stations abroad. So - I do not think that the criticisms and accusations are justified. The only thing that is limited is the possibility of abuse of rights.
This was stated by the deputy chairman of the GERB-SDF PG Denitsa Sacheva, commenting on whether the accusations that the reduction of polling stations abroad violates the rights of voters are justified?
She emphasized that currently the organization of so many sections in countries outside the European Union creates an enormous number of logistical problems. 'It is difficult to find members for the section election commissions in all of them. It is difficult to exercise control. It is difficult to send advocates and observers from political parties. So the only thing that is limited is the abuse of rights, but no right is limited," she pointed out.
Regarding the opposition's proposal for 100 percent machine voting, Sacheva emphasized that: "PP-DB does not trust people in the electoral process, they trust machines, and we do not believe that machines are self-governing and we do not trust the people who manage the machines. This is the simple answer. I believe that preserving the opportunity for people to vote both on machines and on paper is the most correct".
She also commented on the canceled session of parliament on Friday, saying: "I think everyone took a break from the fact that the National Assembly was not in session. Probably, the colleagues from PP-DB missed the atmosphere in which they constantly turn the state into a stage and make videos for social networks. "And she reminded that we are entering the third month after the resignation of the cabinet and it is high time to start consultations, control and measures on the government.
When asked if there was anything that weighed on GERB after the joint coalition with BSP, ITN and with the support of MRF, Sacheva pointed out that "while there was a common goal - our admission to the eurozone, we made compromises and the differences between us were less visible". "But when drawing up the budget, the differences became apparent, especially with regard to the future of the country. This was the burden for all of us, not just for GERB," she told NOVA NEWS.
And she was categorical. that she does not "set red lines regarding a formation with which GERB would not govern in the future, because the tasks facing Bulgaria require consensus and joint work". "But GERB will not make compromises that affect party identity and visions for the future. I hope that the next National Assembly will not be so fragmented. Some of the parties are not even ready to sit at the table for talks. I hope that there will be more opportunity for debate on policies and modernization of the country", she expressed hope.
