Shipka is a fortress of Bulgarian memory and it is not subject to any mischief, any division and any hatred. This was stated in her solemn speech on the occasion of the national holiday by President Iliana Yotova. In her words, on March 3, we open and read some of the most important pages of our centuries-old history, BTA summarized.
These are pages of statehood in which we read about a new, emerging Bulgaria, resurrected from oblivion and martyrdom, added Yotova. She emphasized that these are pages that unite the people, that make us proudly stand before the Bulgarian tricolor today and say with deep gratitude and respect that the heroes are not forgotten and we will bow before all the bright images of Bulgarian freedom.
The President also pointed out that on March 3 and in August everyone flocks to the proud and unyielding peak of Shipka and brings their children and grandchildren to pass on the sacred Bulgarian memory to them.
