Prof. Iskra Baeva to FACT: We should be concerned that we live in a world of wars (VIDEO) - 1

The war in Iran is not just another one in the Middle Gulf, it is just another one in our modern times, because let's go back to 1999 and the NATO war against Yugoslavia. There are wars in the world every few years. This should worry us, because we live in a world of wars. And it is becoming more and more clear that what is going on - that the international order after World War II is changing, because peace is not working, and since that is not working, what is working? The principle of the “jungle“ is working - everything is decided by force. And we see this in all these wars, and the result for human societies is that it is becoming increasingly clear that it is important to have a strong army, strong weapons. We are simply living in a long-standing unstoppable rise in armaments. There is no way to avoid the fact that those countries that, without respecting the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, acquire such weapons are more protected - not because they will use them, but because such a danger exists. This was announced to Lili Marinkova in the studio “FACTI“ and the program “Conversation“ by the historian Prof. Iskra Baeva.

“And we see how with all the global negative propaganda about North Korea and Kim Jong-un, we do not see anyone dealing with it. And the attacks are against countries that cannot deliver a nuclear strike. And this, in my opinion, will in the future lead to an increased attempt for countries to acquire nuclear weapons in order to protect themselves“, the guest added.

“Now what do we hear from Trump – that there are negotiations. They started a year ago, and then you say that now we will negotiate again – what is this? How many times has the Iranian leadership said that it will not negotiate, because it makes no sense. This is another blow to international relations as such, which represent an agreement between different countries, according to what rules they should act. When there are no rules, then everyone acts through the law of the stronger – the stronger strikes, and the weaker has nothing else to do but look for other opportunities for revenge. I do not believe that there are negotiations currently between the US and Iran, because they had to be confirmed by Iran as well. The authorities in Iran are changing because they are killing them one after another. They said that they have no intention of negotiating. If the leadership of a country does not trust its own services – for example, US intelligence says that Iran does not have the base to make nuclear bombs – then what is left? Aren't unilateral decisions made in the US?“, Iskra Baeva also asked.
