During the first third of the election campaign, there was no significant increase in the declarative readiness to vote in the upcoming early parliamentary elections on April 19, 2026. Nearly 53% stated that they would vote, compared to 51% registered in the previous survey before the start of the campaign. This is according to data from a nationally representative survey by the sociological agency “Gallup International Balkan“, conducted in the period 20.03.2026 - 30.03.2026, quoted by bTV.

There are five sure formations in the next parliament. The registered support levels refer to the period 20-30 March 2026, when the survey was conducted, and are not a forecast for the results of the upcoming elections on 19 April 2026.

The data show that the first political force with a clear lead among those deciding who they will vote for is “Progressive Bulgaria“ - 27.7%. Compared to the 29.8% registered in the February survey, there is a certain decline, but this does not yet give grounds to believe that there is a sustainable trend. Rather, the volatility in the electoral growth of this formation is evident, which is influenced by their sluggish election campaign so far and the late announcement of the name of the coalition.

The second political force, with 22.8% among those who have decided who they will vote for, is GERB-SDF, where some pre-election mobilization is noticeable. In the course of the campaign, it will become clear whether this mobilization is sustainable and whether it will be able to further shorten the distance with the first.

In third place among those who have decided who they will vote for is PP-DB with 10.6%. The formation continues to suffer electoral damage from the “Petrohan“ case, but retains chances to mobilize a protest vote that would increase the current result.

In fourth position among those who have decided who they will vote for is the MRF with 10.4%. In a real election situation, this formation traditionally shows a capacity for electoral mobilization, which could build on this level of support. The fifth sure participant in the next National Assembly is the “Vazrazhdane“ party, which in the first third of the campaign registered a slight increase in support - 6.3%.

This is primarily due to their clearer positioning compared to “Progressive Bulgaria”, which motivates their electoral core. Below the 4 percent electoral barrier and with varying degrees of probability of entering parliament are several formations. “BSP-United Left” registered 2.9% support, but with a suitable campaign and successful differentiation from “Progressive Bulgaria“ it has an electoral reserve to overcome the electoral barrier.

At the beginning of the campaign, the “Shine“ coalition gained visibility on the electoral terrain and a new political entity with 2.9%, which during the survey period was ahead of ITN- 2.8%, MECH– 2.7%, “Velicie“- 1.8%, APS– 0.9%, “Blue Bulgaria“- 0.9%.

Trust in political leaders
The agency also conducted a survey on trust in political figures. President Iliana Yotova enjoys the highest level of trust - 47.2%. Distrust in her is 26.7%.

The leader of “Progressive Bulgaria“ Rumen Radev enjoys 43.8% trust. The chairman of GERB Boyko Borisov has 20.2% trust, followed by the acting prime minister Andrey Gyurov with 18%. The former prime minister Rosen Zhelyazkov has 12.6% trust, as does the chairman of the National Assembly Raya Nazaryan - 12.6%.

The chairman of “Vazrazhdane“ Kostadin Kostadinov has 11.3% trust.

According to the “Gallup“ survey Delyan Peevski enjoys 10.1% trust, Ivelin Mihaylov - 9.6%, BSP Chairman Krum Zarkov - 8.8%, Radostin Vassilev - 8.5%, Asen Vassilev - 8.3%, Nikolay Popov - 8.3%, Ivaylo Mirchev - 7.5%, Slavi Trifonov - 6.5%, Bozhidar Bojanov - 6.3% and Atanas Atanasov - 6.5%. 4.9%
