The awarding of the third mandate to “There is such a people” talks about another move by President Rumen Radev. The ITNs have previously announced that they will return the mandate if it is given to them. We have never refrained from negotiations, we have even initiated them. We had them for almost a month. If we are invited to negotiations with ITN, we will participate. This was announced by Raya Nazaryan from GERB on the air of BNT.
„Nine months ago, when we came to the conclusion that in June we had to sign a declaration in order to have a cabinet, in the name of Bulgaria we gave way and gave with the second mandate that they first have a prime minister and form a government. We had a single minister – Maria Gabriel. The rotation should have been a seamless move and it would have happened if some “pre-negotiations” events”, she is categorical.
In her words, the joint management with PP-DB is for the stable management of Bulgaria: “A way out of the political crisis had to be found. Back in the May 2023 recording we heard their plans, we had one thing in mind. When the events of the rotation began, we found that they lack statesmanship and responsibility, on the contrary – their plan is in action.”
„The elections are already a fact, what will be the results – remains to be seen. After that, analyzes will be made as to what and with whom it can be formed. The agreement with PP-DB is a good basis for a future administration, Nazaryan believes.
She does not think that DPS had any part in the negotiations.
„We have no concerns about any reform. There can be no debate about investigative secrecy and the services being a bet for the future of the country. Is it serious to say that April 30 is the date for the services and that this is a bet for the future of Bulgaria? The agreement is a political act, the goals and measures of management are set, and the reforms are included.”
When asked why the negotiations failed, Nazaryan said: “The entire chronology of events is public. Violation of covenants. The rotation was supposed to be only between the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister. First there was the desire for Nikolay Denkov to be foreign minister, because he likes to travel. Then the memorandum was sent to Gabrielle without her notice – the desire to go to elections is already implied in it.”
„When we share responsibility for power, it is normal for Gabriel to want ministers to work with. When we voted on the emergency resignation, the ministers were not in the hall. No debate could be held, no questions could be asked. We know their grades, they are not good enough. For Gabriel, there is a 99% success rate in the MFA, the other ministries are below 50% success rate”, she announced.
She emphasized that it is the judgment of Radev and the CEC whether there will be 2 in 1 elections.
„We are not afraid of a new political project. I am sure that we will be the first political force with a brilliant result. The more political opponents with good ideas there are, the more equal it will be and people will have a choice, she believes.
She also announced that Rosen Zhelyazkov will not refuse to be acting prime minister if the president designates him as such: "He is obliged to accept."
