Ombudsman Diana Kovacheva stated that she cannot become acting prime minister. She made the statement after the meeting with President Rumen Radev - part of his talks with potential future acting prime ministers, reports Nova TV.
„I cannot propose a person to replace the resigned deputy ombudsman, as the nomination procedure takes time. If I just propose someone like that, it means that the procedure will be trampled on, Kovacheva said. She explained that her oath at the European Court is approaching and it is right for her to submit her resignation as soon as possible. Kovacheva added that she will do this next week.
On the occasion of the deputy ombudsman's resignation, she indicated that her reasons were personal.
After Diana Kovacheva, Deputy Governor of the BNB Petar Chobanov arrived for consultations with the President.
„I am ready to have an important conversation in this situation. Such consultations with the President are very important. He is responsible and has found a way out of the situation”, Chobanov told "Dondukov" 2.
