A 17-year-old unlicensed motorcyclist crashed into a police patrol car in Veliko Tarnovo in an attempt to escape an inspection, BNR reported.

A traffic police patrol in Veliko Tarnovo signaled a motorcycle without a registration plate to stop for inspection.

The motorcyclist did not obey and a chase began with the patrol car with the sound and light signal on. The case is from yesterday evening.

The motorcyclist tried to overtake the police car, but lost control of his bike and hit the front of the patrol car and the guardrail of the road.

There were no injuries, the ODMVR said.

The motorcyclist is a 17-year-old and disabled person from Veliko Tarnovo, and he was accompanied by an 18-year-old youth from Debelec.

In the course of the inspection, it was clarified that the motorcycle had an issued registration plate, an English model, which the driver had removed the day before.

Alcohol and drug tests were negative.

Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated.
