The possibility is proposed for drivers who have reached the age of 17 to drive with a companion, as part of a bill to amend and supplement the Law on Road Traffic, approved by the Council of Ministers.
The draft law covers the regulation of the values of the maximum allowed speed in and out of a populated place, highway and expressway for the different categories of motor vehicles, as well as the regulation of zones in populated areas, within which a speed limit of 30 km applies /hour for all vehicles.
When carrying out a technical inspection of a vehicle, it is a condition that the driver has paid fines according to criminal decrees that have entered into force and slips for violations.
Specific obligations have also been introduced for road owners, in order to improve the organization of traffic after construction and repair activities, road accidents and accidents.
New coercive administrative measures are also planned - temporary revocation of the driver's license until the issue of responsibility for all violations, which the law punishes by revocation of the driver's license, is resolved. A change has also been introduced in the amount of penalties imposed, both in terms of disqualification and the amount of fines.
Additionally, according to data on the annual fires in road vehicles, with nearly 25% of the registered fires resulting in losses, a requirement was created to equip the vehicles with fire extinguishers. All cases of termination of the registration of a road vehicle are also regulated, creating conditions to ease the administrative burden on citizens and businesses.
Given the settlement of part of the provisions of the Regulations for the Implementation of the Law on Road Traffic, it is proposed to create prerequisites for the cancellation of the previous Regulations for the Implementation of the Law.
