Denkov: In the discussions, Borisov played a secondary role after Peevski. There is a 3 in 1 promotion - 1

I will send a report in the appropriate order to the prosecutor's office about the pressure exerted on the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zhivko Kotsev, because it may be a crime. This was stated to the BNR by the resigned Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, a special guest of the show "Sunday 150".

"The Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zhivko Kotsev, reported pressure on him both to me and to President Rumen Radev. So the president is also informed of what happened - who are the people and how did the pressure on Kotsev happen", he clarified and added that Kotsev "certainly was under pressure - both by Minister Kalin Stoyanov and by the - high-ranking persons in the prosecutor's office - this pressure must be investigated.
The 3 in 1 campaign is being held because it has three goals, the resigned Prime Minister believes and comments:
"The first is to divert attention from some issues that have been on the agenda for a long time - is there an OPG in relation to "Turkish Stream", "The Eight Dwarfs", the Notary, where we obviously have actions that require investigation and possible prosecution. The second reason is to hit two key persons - the chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the head of the "Customs" Directorate. The third, which is aimed at, here I have no particular doubt, that political people like Asen Vasilev, Boyko Rashkov can be attacked through them.
According to him, there is a contradiction in that both Zhivko Kotsev and Kalin Stoyanov know Stefan Dimitrov, but one is put in a negative light because of this acquaintance:

"My appeal to the investigators is that as they are investigating Kotsev, they should check what is the situation with Kalin Stoyanov".

The resigned Prime Minister announced that Zhivko Kotsev had an invitation to participate in a TV show on BTV, but the Press Center of the Ministry of the Interior did not allow him:

"He wanted to go in front of the media and present his point of view because he has nothing to worry about.

Regarding the arrest of Petya Bankova, the resigned prime minister asked a question:

"How did it happen that a director of "Customs" after a month in that position he suddenly found himself the only person under investigation in recent years for smuggling channels. I have not seen any evidence that she has any relationship, receipt of benefits, to indicate that she is part of any criminal intent. ... Wasn't she just trying to do her job. ... Interestingly, these channels have been around for years. Where is the evidence of DANS from the previous years. I have said many times that there is a "blind spot" in the offices regarding corruption and smuggling. When an inconvenient person comes along who maybe stops the channels because we saw that contraband was caught, drugs were caught, that person is suddenly a target of those same services. This is the scandal of the year".

We do not want innocent people to be victims of political struggles, Nikolay Denkov categorically stressed.
"The choice before Boyko Borisov is very simple - either he chooses the European path of development with Maria Gabriel, or he chooses the return to the Mutren times with Delyan Peevski. What Mr. Borisov chose was Mr. Peevski, if he had a choice at all," he commented in the program "Nedelya 150" the resigned Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov.

He explained that During the PP-DB negotiations with GERB, Delyan Peevski came uninvited and spoke more than Borisov:

"It is not an attempt to sew Peevski to Borisov. In the discussions, Borisov played a secondary role after Peevski. ... By the end of December, the struggle to advance decisions that were in the direction of the government's legislative and management program was yielding results. From January everything was stopped. There is no second payment under Plava for recovery because there are four decisions sitting in the National Assembly and waiting.

I would not like to fully associate Peevski with DPS, said Denkov:

"There are sociological surveys that show that support for him is many times smaller than for DPS. ... He is their co-chairman and we have to consider that this is the person on the other side when negotiations have to be held. But that has in no way removed the fact that this is the only person sitting in the front row of the National Assembly who, under American law, has been proven to have participated in criminal corruption schemes. DPS must realize that this casts a shadow on them. And GERB has no way of not realizing that he casts a shadow over them as well, when Peevski participates in GERB's decision-making. I'm not sure many people are happy in GERD about that.

If GERB finds a way to free itself from Peevski's tutelage, after the elections we can think about something constructive with them, he pointed out.
Denkov stated that he will return to the parliament after vacating the post of prime minister.

"For the national parliament, I will probably be a candidate, but that is yet to be discussed. I have no ambitions to apply for MEP", he emphasized.

The main campaign of PP-DB is for Bulgaria to become a normal European country, Denkov pointed out.

He said fair elections should be held on June 9 and called for higher voter turnout:

"People should get out and vote because with every vote they determine the future. Whoever they choose, he will rule them and how they will live will depend on that.
